The purpose Women’s Health Disorders presentation is to afford students an opportunity to perform an
in-depth analysis of a selected disease process and disseminate their knowledge. Presentations. The
following guidelines and rubric will serve as the expectations:
Slides should follow the established guidelines/rubric
A title slide be included at the beginning of the presentation as well as reference slide(s) at the end of
the presentation
All slides should be readable without being overly busy or complicated. Students may use the “Notes”
feature in PowerPoint to further expand on any necessary key points or ‘teachable moments’ for the
selected slide. The following requirement presentation components should be included:
o Title Slide (1 Slide)
o Overview of the Selected Disease Process (1 Slide)
o Definition of the Disease (1 Slide)
o Pathogenesis of the Disease (1 to 2 Slides)
o Risk Factors/Etiology of the Disease (1 to 2 Slides)
o Symptoms or subjective data commonly related to the Disease (1 to 2 Slides)
o Physical Examination findings commonly associated with the disease (1 to 2 Slides)
o Differential diagnoses for the disease process (1 slide)
o Laboratory or Diagnostics, including gold standard diagnostics, to confirm the disease
process (1 to 2 Slides)
o Plan of care (1 to 3 Slides)
o References (1 to 3 Slides)
