Nostalgia is playing an increasingly important role in marketing strategies targeting generation Y and generation Z markets. Why do you think nostalgic marketing campaigns have become so prominent today? Discuss the relationship between nostalgia and emotion by drawing on consumer behaviour concepts including the affective decision-making process. Use one contemporary example (case study) of a nostalgic marketing strategy or campaign to justify your argument. This may include, for example, a specific retro game re-release, movie and television series re-make, or ‘old-school’ themed entertainment venue including a bar or restaurant.
