Choose a topic that you have an interest in. A list of potential research topics will be made available on Blackboard if you are having difficulty choosing a topic of your own. Whether you pick your own topic or a set topic you will need to go through a range of sources including academic journals, books and non-academic sources such as newspapers, magazines, market intelligence (these are suggested in your module handbook) to understand the issues involved. Based on your review of existing sources that are related with your research topic, develop a Conceptual Model of the key themes and issues. Explain how the key ideas or themes of your research relate to one another and explain why. Identify any research gaps and explain how your research idea builds

on existing research. What research questions arise?

The identification of the relevant academic theories and models and explanation of how these are/have been applied should be a key component of your assignment. A key element to a successful submission will be your ability to provide a clear explanation of the research gap/problem area you are researching using a sustained argument, with insight based on relevant theories and models.

 

You are expected to use appropriate academic literatures and secondary data to support your arguments. All images should be directly relevant to your text.
