1.The evolution of diplomacy: Write about what you consider to be the single most significant change in the nature of diplomacy. Give your reasons and provide illustrations
2.The formal institutions of diplomacy: Do you think the institutions of the old diplomacy have any contemporary relevance? Explain why you hold your view and refer to contemporary or historical events, with links and images, to illustrate your argument

3. Crisis diplomacy: Explore a recent or historical international crisis and the role of diplomacy in its attempted resolution, whether successful or otherwise.

4.Public diplomacy: Write about a recent event or development which illustrates the importance or otherwise of public diplomacy in contemporary world politics. Provide links to relevant websites and news stories.

5.Trade and environmental diplomacy: Examine the significance of non-state actors in negotiations in one or both of these issue areas. Provide illustrations to support your points or explore the case of a particular negotiation or actor in detail.
