Afghanistan and globalization

Afghanistan and globalization

This question is about Afghanistan. Globalization is often understood as a process driven by cross?border trade, movement of people and ideas, as well as technology development and transfer. Yet, it is also argued that globalization is not a straightforward or uniform process towards development and progress, which is why its story should always be “narrated from a local vantage point” (Eric Wolf Europe and the People Without History, University of California Press, 1987: 3). Question: what is globalization once you examine its causes, conduits, and outcomes by looking at Afghanistan?
