Grant Proposal – Can we eradicate sexual harassment

Grant Proposal: – The proposal should be written using APA style. Please refer to page 487 of the textbook (as well as the APA style guide) for guidance. Write a grant proposal to the Fictitious Funding Agency to address the following question: Can we eradicate sexual harassment? People in high power positions often abuse that power by engaging in unwanted sexual advances. The Fictitious Funding Agency is seeking grant application for up to £500,000 over a 3-year period to fund research projects that could help us (1) discourage sexual harassment, and (2) improve the likelihood that victims of harassment will come forward. Proposals that are likely to be funded (and receive high marks) will be those that (1) adequately address one or both of the aims, (2) are feasible, (3) are novel, (4) use multiple methodologies, and (5) can be executed ethically. Proposals must: – Consist of an introduction/Background that details the usefulness of the specific proposal. – Spell out 3 experiments to be undertaken over the 3-year period, including a timeline for each experiment. – Specify how the money will be spent in a detailed budget (note that your university will take a 15 % overhead, so include this in your budget). Equipment costs and salary estimates can be found online. MRI already exists, but is charged at a rate, so no need to buy a new scanner. All other equipment must be bought. Please DO NOT use the bystander model as one of the experiments.
